MerdekaKarya Live Fundraiser September …

Merdekarya is now calling upon you to visit the bar for nights of live music, drinks and grub, to help them recoup the legal costs and lost income. 22 musicians have agreed to perform at Merdekarya’s Live Bar through the month, with free entry for all patrons. These artists include Azmyl Yunor, Sam Lopez (Lost Spaces), Sound of Kites, Shh…Diam! and Ally Lew. The company has also announced six new tuak (palm wine) flavours – including cinnamon, lime zest and asamboi – in an attempt to draw in crowds for the fundraisers.

So, head on over to Merdekarya and enjoy a night of live music and tuak. Lineups this week. Thursday: Ian Tai and Azlan Ramli, Friday: Maha Jeffery, Saturday: Keith Kamalaraj, Tuesday Armand Tanzarian, Wednesday Azmyl Yunor.

Music gets a dose of colour with Colour of Voices. An a cappella group, COV promises an evening filled with familiar songs that will get us up on our feet. The concert also serves as a special Malaysia Day treat. Colour of Voices is an a capella group with members made up of diverse races from Malaysia. They are from different cultural backgrounds and speak three different languages, but rather than make these differences a barrier, Colour of Voices embodies the spirit of unity through music.
