After taking a month break, Ronggeng Sound System is back to put the bass in the bassment. This time around they welcome back our old friend Basil a.k.a The Easybabasound who will be sharing his heavy conscious selection of dub stepper. Formerly known as Battery (of Assault & Battery), Basil is one of KL's original junglists and also snatched the JUICE DJ Quest Champion title back in the early 2000s with his drum’n’bass set.
As usual, the night will be supported by residents Typo D and Renry Hollins with their mix of roots reggae, garage and drum’n’bass. Positive vibes guaranteed all night long, you know what to do – lace up your dancing shoes and see you on the floor. Jom Ronggeng.

JULY 7: Music Is Love at Bait Bangsar
Music Is Love sees the Da Funkie Junkie curated nights with Da Funkie Junkie and Jose Nigel on resident music duties. The music policy for the night, in terms of vibe and ambience, is to capture the spirit, essence and music integrity of legendary clubs and nights like “Paradise Garage”, “Body & Soul”, “The Loft”, “The Shelter” and “Cielo” in New York; “The Warehouse” and “Music Box” in Chicago, and more contemporary clubs like “Respect Is Burning” and “Secret” in Paris; the early days of “Ministry of Sound” and the funk and cheekiness of “Scaramanga” in London.
The musical ethos is inspired by legendary DJs Larry Levan and David Mancuso and their modern incarnations, Dimitri from Paris, Joey Negro and Danny Krivit. The early hours will provide customers with an opportunity to discover the “roots” of dance music i.e. soul, funk, jazz, disco and Afro-latin beats. The latter stages of the night will build towards current and classic deep soulful house, disco house and garage.
